The Terrors were beaten 3-1 by a vastly improved Croydon Athletic side at Mayfields.

The Terrors took a 27th minute lead, Jason Pinnock headed the ball forward into the area and Paul Vines fired home.

However the Rams hit back straight after the break, the very quick Moses Ademola running from just inside his own half before slotting past Dave King.

Ademola supplied the 63rd minute cross for the unmarked Richard Blackwell to head in.

The Terrors then did everything but equalise, sub Ben Abbey had a header cleared off the line with his first touch, and Dean Hamlin hit the woodwork. Paul Vines had strong appeals for a penalty turned down and ex-Terror Lamin Ojo quickly fired in the third from the edge of the area.

There was still time for Jamie Byatt to hit the bar, it brought to an end a run of seven successive away league wins stretching back to early December.
