The Terrors
beat Leatherhead 4-0 at Fetcham Grove, all the goals coming in the
second half.
Leatherhead
did well to get the game on, but conditions were understandably
tough for both sides. There's no doubt that The Tanners had the
better of the opening exchanges but they squandered several good
chances, particularly when Jones sliced horribly wide after a long
throw had run across the area.
The Terrors
then got to grips with the conditions and opposition, and just
before the break ex-Terrors keeper Aaron France came off his line
but was beaten to a cross by Jason Pinnock, whose header rattled the
bar.
There was
some terrific finishing from the Terrors in the second half, just
about every chance was put away.
Jamie Byatt
powered his way down the left flank after 48 minutes and his low
cross was turned in by Jon Henry-Hayden. Jamie Byatt
scored the second after 67 minutes with a shot that had too much
power for keeper Aaron France, and he added a third ten minutes from
the end after pouncing on a loose ball in the area.
Leatherhead
had their moments in the second period, they also hit the woodwork,
and Dave Stevens lobbed inches wide, before Jason Pinnock
tapped in a Ronnie Green cross after a good passing move down the
right in the last minute.
