Match Report by Steve Taylor
Two years of hard work paid off as The Terrors returned to the Ryman Premier Division with a 1-0 win over Cray Wanderers at Imperial Fields.
It was understandably a tense occasion and nerves showed as The Terrors snatched at early chances. Dave King then spread himself well to deflect a shot from one of the Wood brothers over the bar.
There was little to chose between the teams, Jason Pinnock saw an effort deflect narrowly wide in the second half, and King effortlessly pluck a goalbound shot from Royston out of the air.
The vital goal came 11 minutes from the end, when Jamie Byatt hit a corner to the near post. It was headed back to him, and his deep cross found Paul Vines, who drilled the ball into the far corner.
Two seasons has brought two runners up spots, promotion, plus two London Senior Cups and a Surrey Senior Cup. A great record, congratulations to Billy, George, and everyone involved.
