Tooting maintained their 100% away record by coming from a goal down to win at Maidstones' latest temporary home in Ashford. Craig Pitterson replaced Allan McLeod who was still feeling the effects of the ankle knock that he picked up on Tuesday night and Jason Henry earned his first start ahead of Fabian Batchelor.

In a swirling wind Terrors just about shaded a poor first half, which was a third complete before the first recognisable attack was assembled - although it achieved no more than a Jason Henry won corner.

Paul Vines tried his luck on the left flank, sending in a few useful crosses, the best providing Henry with a headed chance that passed just outside the post.  Heading seemed to be the weapon of choice as Mitchell Nelson rocked the cross bar with his on 37 minutes swiftly followed by another wide try from Henry.

However it was the home side who managed the only on target shot of the half when Stubbs was released through the middle to clinically dispatch a low to the right of the advancing Dave King.

Half Time: Maidstone 1 - 0 Terrors

Jamie Byatt tested the woodwork four minutes after the restart, with Paul Vines again the provider. Four minutes later the roles were reversed as Vines drew the first save of the afternoon from Turner with a low shot from close range. The ensuing corner offered a few tantalising half chances but as the danger passed Maidstone managed a decent spell of possession.

With seventy minutes gone Paul Vines won a  free kick on the edge of the 'D'.  Matt York stepped up and shot low, the ball grazing the inside of a post and rolling slowly along the goal line before deciding to settle netside for the equaliser..

Aaron Goode and Mitch Nelson were spending much of the half swapping positions and it may (or may not) have been a factor in the winning goal as Goode made himself a bit of space to loop an exquisite header from a Hamlin cross into the net.

Shortly before the end 'Stones almost snatched an equaliser with a superb goal bound header that Dave King acrobatically turned past his right hand post.
