Well - he really caught the action here!  One picture (well, three actually, but this was the least bad) - and he took nearly a week to send it - Kev Cummins pictures of moody walls showed more action. Makes Steve Taylor look like a pro. Should stick to being a nominated executive director (no hint there!) or whatever it is he does.

Tooting cruised into the next round of the Trophy with an easy win at Imperial Fields. Surprisingly Dean Hamlin had recovered from his Monday night battering and was able to play.  Aaron Goode also started at the back in the continued absence of Joe Vines.

Walton started brightly but offered little after Simon Parker had opened the scoring with a fine solo effort.  The visitors main danger came in the formidable shape of Junior Kaffo, who was a constant threat, particularly with his powerful runs from deep.  However, this challenge was taken up by Mitchell Nelson, who showed touches of true class in neutralising Kaffo and also in a superb run down the left flank that started on the halfway line and ended in the six yard box.  Although no Terror was on the receiving end of the subsequent cross the chaos created in the visiting defence was enough to make the unfortunate Cheadle apply the finishing touch to the third goal.

Parkers earlier strike was helped by the visitors playing with a dangerously high defensive line, a tactic that Terrors continued to exploit for the rest of the half. Byatt missed a chance after Paul Vines had broken through after twenty five minutes and then Vines himself slipped the ball past Preddle for the second when he latched on to a neat pass from Pitterson.

Just before the break there was an anxious moment when Morris went down in the box, but the referee saw no foul and cautioned the forward for simulation (diving to you and me!).

Half Time: Terrors  3-0  Walton & Hersham

Tooting took their collective foot off the gas, possibly with one eye on the Eastbourne game, and apart from a Byatt volley that flew just over the bar five minutes in, were content to let Walton push the ball around in midfield. Following a period of aerial ping pong and a couple of substitutions home interest was renewed with a Dean Hamlin effort that was followed up by Hartburn, who almost set up Sam Clayton.

Jason Henrys involvement was brief.  Shortly after playing Byatt in for a shot that Preddle save with his feet he joined Barkley for an early bath having retaliated to a head butt with a fist. Mike Heverin finally got a few minutes on the field and showed one particularly nice touch when he chested a ball into the path of Colin Hartburn, whose shot was tipped over by Preddle.

Walton had the last word with their first goal bound shot, which came from a free kick that Dave King tipped over for a corner.
