A gritty defensive performance enabled Tooting to leave one of their traditionally less than happy hunting grounds with a share of the points.

With Billy Smith unwell, George Wakeling rewarded Adam Fletcher for his performance on Tuesday night against AFC Wimbledon with a starting place in a side that included just two fit substitutes, plus the heavily bruised Paul Vines - added in case of emergency.

Surprisingly it was Tooting that should have taken the lead after seven minutes through Simon Parker.  But despite having only one other shot in the half, a decent effort from Dean Hamlin that was cleared for a corner, Harrow were forced to work hard for the few chances that they did create.

Dave King was called to make one decent save shortly before the break and there was one effort that had to be cleared off the line.  Otherwise Terrors kept the home side onslaught under control.

The second period carried on in the much the same manner and in the first half hour the only attacking moves come from the tireless Parker, connecting to a fine Aaron Goode delivery and a Hamlin header that went narrowly wide.

Sam Clayton and a battered Goode made way for Pitterson and Henry.  Within five minutes of the change Jason Henry broke through, but Baptistes save triggered an immediate counter attack from which Morlese finally broke the deadlock.  Clearly relieved and perhaps with their sights set on opening the floodgates Harrow relaxed and within a minute Jason Henry had buried a back post header from an inviting Simon Parker cross to equalise.

With ten minutes remaining the tender Paul Vines replace the limping McLeod and the previously unlikely prospect of an away win looked a distinct possibility.  A late tackle from behind on Vines by Fempong, probably put paid to Pauls hopes of personal glory, but this was a fine team display for which all deserve credit.
