TOOTING RAM RAIDED

An injury time smash and grab equaliser was the only downside to a hard fought enjoyable game.

The Terrors used eighteen players, including most of last years first team squad, in what was definitely a game of two halves. Carl Hutchins seems to have put all thoughts of retirement behind him, playing with his usual assured confidence. Alan Mcleod was busy on the left and Paul Vines got through his usual mountain of work.  However, it was the strangely familiar number eight who caught the eye.  It seems that Guy Lopez-Dacruz just can't keep away, marking his return with a hustling performance.

Both teams created chances, our best falling to Paul Vines, with Colin Hartburn providing some tasty crosses from the right.  However, it was not until just after half time, with many fans still finishing off their lemonades, when the familiar figure of Romuald Boadji came over the hill and connected with a Jamie Byatt corner to open the scoring.

Despite seven half time changes the match maintained it's shape and tempo and offered yet another surprise with the appearance of Dan Nwanze, hopefully back from that place about which we do not speak (Bahhh..).

Three minute into injury time Croydon mounted a final attack down the left and were rewarded with a close range equaliser. Hopefully this will be a lesson learned!

Team:

1st Half: Sinclair, Hartburn, Annon (from Redbridge), Bouadji, Hutchings, Arran (?), McLeod, Lopez-Dacruz, P Vines, Stevens, Kunle

HT 0 - 0

2nd Half (yes I know there's on extra here - can't remember who though!):  Sinclair, Hartburn, Annan, Bouadji, Byatt, Abbey, Francis, Nwanze, Hamlin, Pinnock, Harris, Vines (Stevens)

FT 1 - 1
